Determined to enhance efficient healthcare services at the grassroots, Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has commissioned a modern health facility at Sabo, Obasa Oke-Ogun in Abeokuta North Local Government Area of the state.
Governor Abiodun restated his administration’s investment in the health sector, for seamless access and affordable adequate healthcare, to ensure physical and mental well-being of residents.
Represented by the Hon. Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat, the governor observed that the economy and development of the society would thrive if citizens were healthier.
In his remarks, the Olowu of Owu, Oba Saka Matemilola, commended the Chairman of the Local Government, Hon. Adebayo Ayorinde, for the successful completion of the facility, saying it would go a long way in promoting the health of the people, thereby boosting the economy of the state.
He appealed to the citizens to imbibe a maintenance culture and support both the local and state governments, calling on the government for more delivery of dividends of democracy across the nooks and crannies of the state.
In his speech, Hon. Ayorinde, appreciated the governor for executing various developmental projects in the area, saying efforts should be geared towards ensuring people at the grassroots enjoy the dividends of democracy.
Other projects commissioned were solar-powered borehole and toilet at Local Government Area Office, Ita-Iyalode; modern office complex and Legislative block at Abeokuta North Local Government Secretariat, Akomoje, among others.
Other dignitaries present at the commissioning included, Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Razak Daddah, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Dr. Rotimiolu Akinlesi.
