The Alaperu of Iperu, His Royal Highness, Oba Adeleke Adelekan IDOWU-BASIBO (Odoru V), FIEX, FICMC, has inaugurated a land search committee for the proposed Iperu Mini Stadium Project, and has appointed Alhaji Denny OLADIPUPO as Chairman of the newly-inaugurated committee, and Asiwaju Adeleke OSHILAJA as the Secretary.

Performing the inauguration at his palace on friday, 28th June, 2024, the royal father expressed his readiness to assist the committee with necessary contacts and supports, especially with obtaining required documents from the State Government, as he charged members to be steadfast, committed, dedicated, and render selfless service with regards to finding a suitable location for the construction of the proposed Iperu Mini Stadium in earnest. 

The monarch commended the Iperu Development Association on the composition of the committee, saying its members are thoroughbred professionals who are competent to deliver on their mandate. He therefore wished the committee the best in its onerous task and assignment.

Oba IDOWU-BASIBO thanked and also prayed for the facilitator of the project, the Accountant General of the Federation, Dr. (Mrs.) Sakirat Oluwatoyin MADEIN, who is an illustrious daughter of Iperu.

Earlier in his opening remarks, the Chairman, Iperu Development Association, Chief Babajide Oyeti said the association is poised to launch Iperu Akesan on the path of sustainable development.

According to him, the association acting in line with the request of the Accountant General of the Federation (AGF), Dr. Mrs Oluwatoyin Sakirat MADEIN, has constituted the Land Search Committee for the proposed Iperu Mini Stadium.

It will be recalled that Dr. Mrs. MADEIN as the Chairperson of the 2024 Ojude Oba Iperu Celebrations, pledged to facilitate the construction of a mini stadium for Iperu.

The committee which was constituted after a due consultation with His Royal Highness, Oba Adeleke Adelekan IDOWU (Odoru V), is saddled with the responsibility of searching for a suitable Land for the construction of the proposed Iperu Mini Stadium.

The committee has a period of two weeks to conclude its assignment, and shall prepare a feasibility report to the Iperu Development Association for onward submission to Dr. (Mrs.) Oluwatoyin MADEIN.

Chief OYETI who described Dr. MADEIN's gesture as very rare and kind, expressed the immense appreciation of the association and the entire people of Iperu to her.

Responding shortly after the inauguration, the Chairman of the committee, Alhaji Denny OLADIPUPO, thanked the Alaperu of Iperu, and the Iperu Development Association for appointing the Committee to embark on the special task of searching for a suitable Land for the construction of the Iperu Mini Stadium. 

He reiterated the readiness of the special committee to deliver on its mandate and locate a suitable place for the stated purpose.

He assured that the committee will live up to expectations with regards to the task ahead, as it is expected to hit the ground running with an inaugural meeting which holds on Saturday, 29th June, 2024, to set an agenda for the realisation of its goals and objectives.

Other members of the committee are Chief John Adeniyi ADEYEMI, Baale of Sapala, Iperu; Chief Adelaja Ayoku ABOLAJI; and Elder Tajudeen OGUNNUSI.

Present at the event are the wife of the newly-inaugurated Chairman, Mrs. Risikat Odunayo OLADIPUPO; Vice Chairman, Iperu Development Association, and Chairman, 2024 Ojude Oba Planning Committee, Otunba Taiwo OYEBANJO; Chairman, Light-up Iperu Scheme, Prince Wale OYEKOYA; Secretary, 2024 Ojude Oba Iperu Planning Committee, Alhaji Shittu Babatunde OMISANYA; members, Iperu Gentlemen Elites Club; an APC Chieftain, and Convener of the Dapo Abiodun Apex Alliance Sisters, Yeye Toyin Biliki OSENI; amongst other well-wishers.
