The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has been commended for his exemplary leadership, dedication and commitment not only to the State but also to the Southern region of the country which led to his emergence as the Chairman of the Southern Governors' Forum.
The Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, gave the commendation in a letter he personally signed to congratulate the governor on his emergence as the Chairman of the Southern Governors' Forum at a meeting held by the 17 governors who constitute the region at the Presidential Lodge, Ibara, Abeokuta.
According to the Head of Service, the unanimous nomination of Mr. Governor as the Chairman of the Forum did not come as a surprise owing to the Governor's selfless leadership, and added that the new role is a recognition of his relentless efforts at fostering unity, promoting sustainable development and championing the cause of good governance.
"We are rest assured that under Your Excellency's visionary leadership, the Southern Governors' Forum will achieve unprecedented milestones and implement innovative strategies that will significantly enhance the socio-economic landscape of the Southern region.
"Needles to underscore that your strategic insights and collaborative approach will undoubtedly bring about a positive transformation and development among the Southern States just as consistently being demonstrated in the Gateway State", the letter read in part.
Mr. Onasanya therefore pledged the Public Service's quality support to the Governor as he takes on the distinguished role and added that the Service is committed to working assiduously towards realizing the Governor's visionary goals for the Forum.
