The new Head of Service of Ogun State, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, has revealed in an interview session during a recent Courtesy Visit of the Management Team of Gateway News Update with some last Civil Servants Awardees of the Newspaper in his Office that "Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun CON. is a Visionary and highly focused Administrator, & an Apostle of equity, justice and fairness; very compassionate and caring".

He revealed further that "when a Righteous Man is upon the Throne, People will rejoice, and to all intent and purposes, there is a People Centered Government in Ogun State". He also said "where there is a Will, there is a way; the Will to better the lots of the Citizenry is so strong in the Mind of the Governor that every strata of the Society: the Public Service and Retirees, the Private Sector and MSMES/Masses are not left out in the scheme of things as encapsulated in the Five Developmental Pillars "ISEYA" Mantra of the present Administration in Ogun State". He emphasized that the Will is so strong, and prayed that God will continue to make the way for development in Ogun State.

He did not stop at that, he also revealed that the Governor has done a lot for the Civil Service of Ogun State which include: various Capacity Building Programmes, various interventions for Civil Servants to cushion the effect of the increase in the Pump Price of Fuel, approval for the review of the Public Service Rules, Financial Regulations; Industrial and Orientation Manual to mention a few. He said further that "the Governor is doing all these to make sure that Ogun State Civil Service is placed on the right footing".

Asking question on what the workers  should expect during his tenure, he said "Ogun State Civil Service will continue to key into the "ISEYA" Developmental Agenda of Government to make Ogun State better" during his tenure. He said capacity building of the workforce is very key to enhance operational effectiveness while the review of the Public Service Rules, Financial Regulations as well as the induction and orientation manual which are the strong instruments of admiration shall be upheld as approved by the Governor. He also urged Civil Servants in Ogun State to rededicate themselves to the Service, and embrace the Health Insurance Scheme of Government because "a Healthy Civil Servant is a Wealthy Civil Servant" according to him. He enjoined the Media to promote and sensitize the People on the need to key into the Health Insurance Scheme of Government because " Health is Wealth", and the People will be the major beneficiaries of the Programme if they they embrace it.

The 20th Head of Service of Ogun State described his predecessor in office, Mr Kolawole Peter Fagboun as a highly resourceful and disciplined Civil Servant who brought his immense wealth of experience and professionalism to bear while on the saddle. Onasanya also congratulated Gateway News Update for the success of the 18th Anniversary and Annual Award Programme of the Newspaper, and also rejoiced with the last Civil Servants Awardees  that were in attendance; urging them to continue to rededicate themselves to work.
