Ogun State Civil Service Commission (CSC) has revealed that the selection process for recruitment exercise of applicants into the Civil Service was to ensure that outstanding candidates were chosen.

Permanent Secretary in the Commission, Mrs. Roseline Jacobs, made the disclosure during an interview with newsmen in Abeokuta, explaining that the process required shortlisting of the right candidates, who possessed necessary qualifications and skills to fill available positions.

Jacobs informed that the first stage of the process had been concluded with Computer-Based Test (CBT), saying the on-going extended interview would further assess their ability, expertise and experience to perform.

She stated that successful candidates would be shortlisted to fill some Professional and Officers' cadres such as, Medical Officers, Pharmacists, Scientific Officers and Auditors, maintaining that the exercise would enable the Commission to put right persons in the right positions.

The Permanent Secretary, who appreciated Governor Dapo Abiodun for the approval to fill some vacancies in Ministries, Departments and Agencies, enjoined successful candidates to contribute positively to the growth and development of the Civil Service, urging others not to be discouraged.

Speaking, one of the applicants, Miss Faith Akinbode, said the exercise was challenging and had prepared them for the tasks ahead.
