The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Abiodun on environment, Hon. Farouq Akintunde has felicitated with all Muslim faithful as they joined other Muslims around the globe to mark this year EID-EL-KABIR celebration.

Akintunde who is also the Balogun of Iporo Muslim and mogaji of Egba Muslims made this known in a press statement signed by him and made available to newsmen in Abeokuta 

He said the feast of Eid-el-Kabir is a test of faith in commemoration of the sublime submission by Prophet Ibrahim and call for sacrifice.

 The SSA on environment submitted that as Muslim Faithful are marking this year EID-EL-KABIR celebration, he urged them to live a life of selflessness, brotherhood, sacrifice and adherence to Allah’s commands.

” I wish to congratulate the Muslims community in Ogun State for joining their counterparts all over the world in celebrating this festival of sacrifice.

“I beseech you to preach peace, show love, understanding, tolerance and good neighbourliness.

“As you celebrate this Sallah, I implore you all to re-affirm your obedience to Allah’s injunctions as contained in the Holy Qur’an and follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad.

“Let us also continue to pray for God’s guidance and protection, as well as imbibe the good virtues, humility and service to humanity,” she admonished
