Workers' Day: Let Every Worker Earn Their Deserved Wages, Says Oloye Alabi



.....As Federal Government College, Odogbolu Rewards Outstanding Staff.


Renowned Journalist and  Maye-Olu Ibadan, Oloye Lekan Alabi has urged the Federal Government to give every worker in the Country their deserved wages based on output and quality of Production.


Oloye Lekan Alabi made this known at the celebration of workers day organize by Federal Government College, Odogbolu.


Oloye Alabi acknowledged Tinubu presidency for increasing the salary of Public and Civil Servant saying every worker should Earn his or her deserve Wages.


In his words " If you pay peanut to your workers whether Government or Public Servant, we are going to have rats. Let every workers Earns his or her deserve Wages based on output and quality of production, as it obtain in those days." He said.


Oloye Alabi then adviced the Federal Government, that Nigeria must go back to the Golden Era of Merit and Order adding that Nigeria was run on the basis of Individual Merit then.


In his Opening remarks, Director Principal of Federal Government College, Odogbolu, Mr Akinpelu Amos said Workers crave for a better nation and a friendly working environment.


" We must start from ourselves and measure our effectiveness and the efficiency of our contribution to the organization we serve with intent for improvement.


As we gather to celebrate again the spirit of labor, which is the backbone of organized societies,and the driving force behind progress in any Establishment. We must reflect on our collective responsibilities and reassure ourselves and the larger society of our commitment to better service delivery." Mr Akinpelu Said.


Highlighting the theme of this year celebration, " Social Justice and Decent Work for all", The Director Principal said it captures the mood in the country and it is a call for a united front for labour to coordinate itself to win the struggle for national development and Adequate compensation for the Labour of the working class.


Also speaking, ASCSN Chairman Federal Government College, Odogbolu, Prince Oladele Abdul Lateef Banjo, urged workers across the state to remain calm in the face of the challenges saying cause for celebration is near.



Highlights of the Event include Gift Presentation to staff of the School in the Categories of the following;


Best Teaching Staff of the Year - Mr Osizalami.


Best Non-Teaching staff of the year - Mrs Olukole.


Best P.T.A Staff of the Year - Mr Adeyeye Taiwo.


Best Year Head Senior School - Mrs Taiwo.


Best Year Head Junior School - Mrs Alli.


Best Clinic Staff -  Mrs Adenaye.
