In order to appreciate and recognise the immense contributions to the education sector in the State, Right Lifestyle Ministry(RLM),has honoured some educators, who have performed excellently well both in government and the private sector.
The event which took place at Lisabi Grammar School, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, was to recognise and reward them for their hard work and unwavering dedication to better the lots of present and future generations.
While delivering the opening address at the event themed 'Recognising the efforts of our educators while they are alive and not after they are dead', the founder and the Chairman of the organization, Apostle Dr. Isaac Adegbola said, it is imperative to celebrate the efforts of educators in the state and in the country as a whole.
He said, "Africans are actually fond of celebrating people after they are dead and condemn them, while they are alive."
Lending her Voice, a retired Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology who also doubled as an awardee, Mrs Abosede Ogunleye, expressed gratitude to the organiser for the award, promising to continue contributing her quota to the development of education
In his motivational speech, the State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, Mr. Idowu Ojelabi represented by his deputy, Mr. Mayowa Odekunle urged educators to rededicate themselves to duty, as the day of reckoning will surely come.
Other awardees included; Mr Oluwole Majekodunmi, Mrs Adesunmbo Okeowo, Mrs Bamidele Makinde, Odulesi Oduyemi, Mrs. Dada Oluyemisi, Mrs Ogundimu Morenikeji, Princess Rhoda Elijah, Mr. Ogunkole Olusola, Dr. Laide Odusote, Mrs Sunday Akindele, Duze Mary, Mr Soneye Oluwole, Mrs. Abosede Edun, among others.
