The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has restated its commitment to fast and efficient passport delivery.
According to the Gombe State Comptroller of Immigration, E.O Akinrinsola, his office is ready to partner with the state government in security and that “the service has now re-energised the instrument of improved technology to deliver passports in 48 hours.”
The immigration boss gave this indication when he led some senior officers of the Service to the Office of the Secretary to Government of Gombe State, Professor Ibrahim Njodi, for a familiarisation visit.
The comptroller who has been in the state for a while praises the massive transformation in the state and lauded the state government under the leadership of Governor Inuwa Yahaya for transforming the jewel state.
He said, “The service has now re-energised the instrument of improved technology to deliver passports in 48 hours.”
While appreciating the state government for supporting his predecessor, the comptroller calls for more such support to be extended to the service for it to function effectively.
Njodi had while welcoming the comptroller, assured the service that the government will continue to provide all the necessary support for it to function optimally.
He disclosed that the administration of Governor Yahaya is committed towards the welfare of Federal agencies in the state.
