EXCITING DEVELOPMENTS UNDERWAY AT DSAP - OKANLAWON



The Chairman, Governing Council, D.S Adegbenro ICT Polytechnic (DSAP) Itori-Ewekoro, Ogun State, Amb. Toye Okanlawon has informed the staff and students of DSAP that the Polytechnic was set to soon experience heartening transformations that will contribute immensely to the growth and progress of the Institution. 


Amb. Okanlawon stated this during the Polytechnic’s 18th matriculation ceremony for the 2023/2024 academic session.


The Chairman said: "plans are on to unveil new state-of-the-art facilities, introduce cutting-edge programmes, and foster strategic partnerships to enhance students’ learning experience and career prospects." 


While restating Governor Dapo Abiodun's commitment to sound education, Amb. Okanlawon encouraged the matriculating students to" embrace the values of discipline and critical thinking that would serve them well in their academic and professional pursuits. The Chairman also announced at the gathering, that a new minimum wage payment for the staff of the Institution will commence from the month of June 2024.


In his address during the event, the Rector of the Institution, Dr Goke Rauf urged the new intakes to refrain from cultism, violence and other vices capable of derailing their studentship. 


Dr. Rauf assured the new students and their parents that the Polytechnic had dedicated and committed staff who were capable of enriching them with their wealth of experience and teaching skills, asking that the new students should cooperate with them.


In his goodwill message during the event, the Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Prof Abayomi Arigbabu challenged the new students to embrace new opportunities and challenges with confidence, adding that it is all these qualities that will propel them to success. 


The Registrar and Chief Executive of Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof Ishaq Oloyede at the event, urged the new intakes to cooperate with all stakeholders in order to ensure their success at the Institution. 


Prof Oloyede who was represented by the Ogun State JAMB coordinator, Mr. Abdulhammed Akeem commended the Polytechnic for adhering to JAMB's regulations and policies, urging that the Institution should continue to tow the same line of compliance.
