Ogun state Civil Service Commission has adopted Computer Base Test CBT for its recruitment owing to its merit based process which gives no room for mediocrity to thrive.
Speaking with newsmen during the exercise held at the 500-seater ICT centre, FUNAAB Alabata, Abeokuta,Chairman of the Commission, Engr. Tokunbo Odebunmi said in line with its statutory responsibilities, the commission organised the CBT to recruit officers into vacant positions in the Health Ministry, Data processing officers into the Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs as well as Auditors to complement and strengthen the workforce in the State Audit.
" This examination is peculiar for some professionals like Auditors,Pharmacist, Nursing, Science Labouratory Technologist and very many others as well as general duties for those working under Administration ." Odebunmi said
"In Ogun state we do not make sensational recruitment but employ only when there is the demand so that people will not just be employed for no justification but on purpose." the chairman said .
Engr Odebunmi indicated that the recruitment was meant to pass three phases ;the computer based test, extended interview and the final stage being the oral interview.
In their separate responses, Mr Adelanwa Razaq and Miss Oyolola Maria commended the organisers of the exercise, saying the arrangements and atmosphere were conducive .
