Suspected Cultists have hacked a Senior officer of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) Mr Taofeek Adebowale Ojugbele to death on the 14th of April 2024 and he was buried on the 15th of April 2024 according to Muslim rites.
It was further gathered that the cultists strangled Ojugbele to death on his way home at the Alakuko area of Lagos State.
The deceased, according to the information, was hacked to death consequent upon his violent altercation with a suspected cultist group after he and some of his senior colleagues intercepted his vehicle and impounded it for contravening traffic rules.
It was gathered that during the fisticuff, the suspect promised to unleash his vengeance on all the officers who carried out the operation that fateful day.
Though some of them thought it was a mere threat, some did not take it seriously until the attack on Mr Taofeek Adebowale Ojugbele, who lived in the Oju Ore area of Ogun State.
The incident created a lot of fear and caused serious confusion in the family of Mr. Taofik Adebowale Ojugbele, who are lamenting the killing of their breadwinner.
A source in the family who pleaded for anonymity while confirming the incident said Ojugbele, who was a staff of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) was strangled to death in Lagos State whilst returning home from work.
It was furthered gathered that the policemen are still investigating on the matter.
