In appreciation of the Ogun state government’s efforts at curbing crime and criminality, the Grand Chief Imam of Remo Kingdom in Ogun East Senatorial District, Alhaji Abdul-Quadri Jinadu, has lauded the initiative of the present administration on security matters across the state.
Alhaji Jinadu gave the commendation while fielding questions from journalists in Sagamu, saying Governor Dapo Abiodun's determination in checkmating violence and curbing unwarranted killings, among other criminal activities in Remoland and the state at large, was commendable.
Speaking on the significance of Ramadan, the Chief Imam said the season was a special period when God used to show mercy and forgive sins of the people, calling on the people to promote socio-economic well-being and cohabit peacefully, to remain the epitome of Islam in the state and Nigeria in generally.
He urged Muslim Faithful to forgive those who offended them, as stipulated in the Holy Quran and desist from holding grudges against anyone.
“The Ramadam period is the time to support the needy, preach peace, goodness and forgiveness which project a man towards attaining paradise”, he said.
Alhaji Jinadu expressed hope that the season would bring blessing, progress and joy for the people.
