Ogun State government is determined to construct Olokuta-Train Station Road, as part of efforts to ease both human and vehicular movement in the area.
Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, gave the indication during the 60th Birthday and Retirement Service, in honour of the outgone Permanent Secretary of the state Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Mrs. Abosede Ogunleye, at Alleluia Chapel, along Ajebo road, Abeokuta, saying the present administration was poised to ameliorate the hardship people encountered when travelling via the train station.
According to Mr. Talabi, "The road being federal, needs the Federal Government’s concurrence but now the road has been rated and accredited. So, we are going through the approval procedures now and we are confident that in a short while, work will begin on that road.
“We have been on this issue for a while now and we are optimistic that it will become a reality soon”, he said.
In his sermon, the presiding Minister of the church, Pastor Paul Daniel commended the government for its developmental strides in the state and for extending palliative distribution to the church members.
He attested that the retired Permanent Secretary was an epitome of generosity and diligence, urging her to continue to put her virtue to bear in serving humanity, even in retirement.
