The Iperu Remo Education Trust Scheme Management Board led by Mofopefoluwa JOSEPH, FRM, has presented its account of stewardship from inception till date.
This was captured in a 96-page document produced by the board, christened - " First Chronicles of Birth and Activities" which was presented to the Iperu Development Association at the association's first quarterly meeting, held on Sunday, 24th March, 2024, at the IDA Plaza, Iperu Remo.
Making the presentation, the Chairman, Iperu Remo Education Trust Scheme Management Board, Mofopefoluwa JOSEPH, FRM, highlighted the board's activities as contained in the document.
These include the appointment/constitution of the board by the Iperu Development Association, via a letter dated, 4th October, 2023, and its inauguration by the Alaperu of Iperu, His Royal Highness, Oba Adeleke Adelekan IDOWU-BASIBO (Odoru V), on the 24th of November, 2023, as well as the board's inaugural meeting held same day, and which approved the appointment of its Executive Director, Mr. Taiwo RAJI, FCA.
Also contained in the publication are constitution/inauguration/induction of Schools Liaison Teams; the first, second, and third Education Sensitization Talks; the commencement of the Scholarships and Grants for Iperu Indigent and Brilliant Students; the Vocational Skill Acquisition Training, with the hosting of the Solar/Inverter Design Training, and the Interactive Discourse with various stakeholders in Iperu, including the Christian and Muslim Clerics, and the Traditional Leaders and Ward Heads (Olorituns), and plans to construct toilets in the secondary schools, and equally donate exercise books to primary, secondary and tertiary schools in Iperu, among other achievements as well as challenges.
The Chairman, Mofopefoluwa JOSEPH, FRM, expressed the board's appreciation to the Chairman and members of the Executive of Iperu Development Association for the opportunity to serve the community, and for their unflinching support and cooperation to the board so far.
He also thanked the president and members of Akesan Iperu Club 1954 for releasing its hall for use during the board's events, without payment, while he expressed immense gratitude to the Iperu community for its support, as he looks forward to a continuous collaboration.
In attendance at the meeting were the Secretary of the board, Mr. Muyiwa OSULARU; Executive Director, Mr. Taiwo RAJI, FCA; Director of Mentoring, Training, and Educational Development, Prof. Adeleke OSHO; Director of Administration, Finance, and Scholarship Facilitation, Prince Gboyega AKINYEMI; and Director of Adult Education, Skills Acquisition, and Informal Sector, Pastor Moses AKINBOWALE.
Also at the meeting were the Vice Chairman, Iperu Development Association, Alhaji Taiwo OYEBANJO; Alhaja Oge OGUNLAJA; Barr Wasiu ONAWOLE; Mr. Nureni AMUSA; and Prince Taiwo OWOKALADE.
Responding, the Chairman, Iperu Development Association, Chief Babajide OYETI, commended the board for the way and manner it has so far delivered on the assigned task, as he urged the members to sustain the good job.
