Ijebu-ode 9th Legislative Council to hold Public Hearing on Amended Bye-Law Tomorrow.

 


The Ijebu ode 9th Legislative Council Led by Ogbeni Adeshola Ogundare will on Thursday, 21st March, 2024 hold a public hearing on Amended Bye-Law of Commercial motorcycle(okada)and Tricycle (Marwa) Operation(Amended) Bye-Law No 06 of 2024 and Security Committee and Vigilante (Amended) Bye-Law 05 of 2024.


This was made known in a press release made available by the Bye-Law Amended Committee chairman, the majority leader of the house, Giwa (HON) Samod Balogun to infopalavanews.com.


The release stated that the venue of the Event is De-millenium  Hall, Local Government Secretariat itoro, Ijebu ode.


The release also enjoin that all invited Stakeholders are expected at the Event.


Recall that Leader of the house, Ogbeni Adeshola Ogundare during the last Budget Presentation to the Legislative Council Chambers said the Legislative Council is trying to Amend some of the Bye-Law that has been obsolete.



In his word" Let me add this, the legislators will all know is not about passing budget alone but also in accordance to our oversight function, we are also trying to amend some of our bye law that has been obsolete, we are going to amend it to feel the reality of the day. Very soon we will be calling for a public hearing, were stakeholders will be coming to share their opinion on the proposed bye law Amendment. We will need there input so that we can come up with a clean bill of bye law for the Local Government for the development and improvement of the security of lives and property of our people.
