A farewell program was organized at the Ijebu North Local Government Secretariat in honor of Comrade Adedapo Adedoyin Banjo (JP), the former Holga, who served the state diligently. The event commenced at 12 pm, featuring encomiums, dances, and songs by staff from across the state.
Hon. Omobolaji Oluwaseun Odusanya, the Chairman and host, congratulated the retiree on his 35 years of meritorious service. He praised Comrade Banjo as a gentle, active, and friendly individual, expressing gratitude for his unwavering dedication. The chairman prayed for a successful retirement.
A brief exhortation was given by the clergy of the African Church, Oke-Agbo, Ijebu Igbo, Reverend Canon Olugbebi (Rtd). He commended the retiree's hard work, trustworthiness, and diligence, advising current staff to emulate his virtues.
Comrade Boyejo Mary, Vice Chairman of INLG Nulge, described Comrade Banjo as a man of honor and respect, always ready to assist his staff. Comrade Tunde Oladunjoye, representing the IELG Chairman and SSA to the Governor on Media, expressed joy despite numerous commitments. He praised Comrade Banjo's loyalty, liveliness, and hard work, wishing him good health and a long retirement.
Barrister Olivia Olubukonla Onabanjo, Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission, Ogun State, regretted losing a valuable man. She extended well wishes for a happy retirement on behalf of others.
The pen-down/signing out and handing over of duties were conducted by Mr. J.O. Fayesile, Director of Water & Environmental Sanitation, Ijebu North Local Government, Ijebu Igbo. The program was witnessed by many well-wishers from across the state.
