The Chairman of Ijebu-Ode Local Government Hon. Babatunde Emilola-Gazal, has commenced the renovation of the council secretariat to give it a new facelift.

The area to renovate includes the construction of a new Conference Room, Secretary to the Local Government (SLG) office and renovation of the Chairman's office.

The Council Chairman, Hon. Emilola-Gazal, while speaking with newsmen in his office at Ijebu-Ode, stated that, “The local government secretariat does not have a Conference Room to have meetings, instead we make use of the Chairman's office, but we decided to construct a new Conference Room to give more space to the office of the chairman. On the part of the construction of new office for the Secretary to Local Government, the office needed expansion, so that is why we decided to build another new SLG office”.

“Don't forget that Ijebu-Ode Local Government is a premier Local Government and we are doing this to leave a lasting Legacy".

Speaking on other projects his administration had embarked upon, the council chairman said 140 Solar power street lights would be installed at the Secretariat, GRA Road, linking Eruwon and Isiwo, promising completion of the projects before the end of his tenure.

"The Local Government had sunk a borehole at Ward 3 in Etitale and Arawa in Itamapako; there are also ongoing renovation projects of primary schools at Isiwo and Irawo.

“We will embark on construction of 270 Lock-up shops at Epe Garage, while the renovation of Oke-Oyinbo Primary Health Centre is ongoing", he said.
