Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has admonished Civil Servants in the State to be diligent in their duties and ready to learn new ways of doing things saying this would broaden their knowledge for improved productivity.
Governor, Dapo Abiodun who gave the charge today at Government House Chapel during the Thanksgiving Service for the retirement and 60th birthday of the Director, Office of the Chief of Staff to the Governor Mr. Idowu Olumuyiwa, noted that dedication, perseverance and continuous learning are critical to personal development and optimal productivity.
Represented by his Deputy Chief of Staff Dr. Oluwatoyin Taiwo, Governor Abiodun described the retiring Director as a thorough breed professional who displayed competence, loyalty and absolute humility while his service lasted.
The Governor tasked the State workers to imbibe the spirit of humility, dedication to duties and professionalism that could make them valuable in the course of their career progression.
In his remarks, the Senator, representing Ogun Central Senatorial District Alhaji Shuaib Afolabi Salisu said Mr. Idowu was a valuable asset to the Office of the Governor who always ready to proffer solutions to many daunting challenges of the Office.
Speaking, the Elese of Ilese-Ijebu, Oba Oluremi Obayomi maintained that the retiring Director was an embodiment of courage and team player who was highly disciplined and ready to adapt to new strategies that could guarantee organizational growth.
In his appreciation, The retiring Director, Mr. Idowu Olumuyiwa noted that he would continuously give thanks to God Almighty for seeing him through during his service years maintaining that working in very sensitive offices such as Governor's Office, Offices of Secretary to the State government and Chief of Staff to the Governor requires discipline, perseverance and utmost loyalty.
