It has been observed that an organisation is bound to grow and be vibrant when the workers are continually trained and well-motivated, which will, in turn, develop their capabilities, to enable them to add value and meaningful ideas in their respective areas.

This was the submission of a  Specialist Consultant in Technical and Vocational Education (TVET) on World Bank, Ogun State Transformation Economic Project (OGSTEP), Mr. Unyime Eyo at a day training with the theme, "Develop Yourself", for the staff of Ogun State Technical and Vocational Education Board (OGSTVEB), held at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

Mr. Eyo said capacity building was a worthwhile investment for organisation in achieving its core mission and objectives, explaining that it helps individuals to improve their talents, potentials, among others.

He noted that it was essential for staffers of the Board to uphold good work ethics, have the ability and willingness to work at the workplace, urging everyone in the Civil Service to be efficient in the discharge of their duties.

According to him" If you want people to develop and add value, they should be trained because you will have motivated staffs that will add meaningful ideas that will be beneficial to their organisations".

Earlier in his remarks, the Acting Executive Secretary, OGSTVEB, Mr. Olubori Akinleye charged all staffs to develop and re-engineer their mindset positively, to be relevant at all times and to be able to tap into many opportunities ahead of them.

In their separate reactions, two of the participants, Mr. Segun Sonde and Miss. Adeola Abbas commended the Board for the programme, saying it would help in sharpening their skills.
