Be diligent in Discharging your Duties, LG Workers Told.

Local Government employees have received a call to exhibit diligence and efficiency in the execution of their duties, aiming for excellence in their roles. 



This was made known during the Annual Thanksgiving and Carol Service of 4 Lessons held at the Ijebu-Ode Local Government Secretariat, Itoro.


Speaking at the Event, Barrister Olivia Olubunkola Onabanjo, Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission, expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the staff, urging them to embrace a culture of diligent duty discharge and strive for excellence. 


She emphasized the expectation for workers, as ambassadors, to be diligent, efficient, and effective in their respective professions.

While Addressing the staff members who were recognized for their outstanding service, Onabanjo advised them to continue striving for more accomplishments.


Also speaking, Hon. Babatunde Emilola Gazal, Chairman of Ijebu-Ode Local Government, highlighted the significance of the awards given to staff members, asserting that it serves as motivation for them to not only continue serving but also fosters a sense of belonging and awareness of the administration's care for its members. 



Gazal commended the career officers for their cooperation and dependability throughout his administration, expressing confidence that this recognition will inspire them to achieve even more.


During her welcome address, Engr. Ogunbona Olanike, the Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA), praised the Chairman for the thoughtful gesture in recognizing outstanding staff members.

Most dedicated medical officer of the council - Dr Fayomi Tola (100,000 Prize).


Most dedicated revenue staff of the council - Olasile Obisanya ( 100,000 prize).


Best Revenue generating staff of the year (market)- Lateef olore and Haruna Bunkanla(50,000 & 25,000 prize respectively)


Best Revenue Generating staff of the year (field) - Aderemi taiwo and Shade Idowu (25,000 prize each).


Best Revenue Generating staff (Abatiour)- Ojute kehinde and Sola Ajayi (25,000 prize each).


Best Health center of the year- Italapo health center (200,000 prize)


Dedicated staff of the year PHC - Folorunsho folashade (25,000 prize).


Best hard working council staff of the year. - Mrs Kehinde Akinsola (150,000 prize.)


Most working department of the year.- Works Department (200,000 prize).


Dedicated Political Appointee (Abatiour) - Bolanle Mosuro. (50,000 prize).


Dedicated Political Appointee (Revenue)- Kunle Quadri(50,000 prize).


Dedicated Political Appointee(works) - Deacon Agbolade Johnson (50,000).


Dedicated staff(Chairman's office)- Onasanya Rachael Aderemi.


Best Junior Staff of Year. - Mrs Oluwatosin Saka (25,000).


Dedicated Drivers - Sesan Adenola and Niyi Badejo (25,000 each).
