AKARIGBO URGES CHILDREN TO SHUN CULTISM

 


 The Akarigbo and paramount ruler of Remoland, HRH, Oba Babatunde Ajayi, has urged children to shun acts of criminality and imbibe quality character that would reposition them as  ambassadors of the state and nation in general.


 Oba Ajayi gave the charge at the end of the year children‘s party, organised by the Radanuwa of Idado, HRH, Oba Musiliu Soile, in collaboration with Friends of Ronzls Foundation, at the Foundation’s House, St Paul Primary School, Sagamu.


He enjoined them to eschew bad behaviour and shun all forms of social vices that could jeopardise their future or destiny, pledging to support the Remo Growth and Development Foundation (RGDF), to protect the interest of the children in the society.


The royal father lauded the Prince Dapo Abiodun administration for its giant strides in the education sector, appreciating  the organisers for supporting the mantra of Building Our Future Together.


In his remarks, Oba Soile appreciated the government’s Public Private Partnership (PPP) initiative, saying it had given private individuals and traditional rulers, among others, opportunities to contribute their quota to the development of education in the state.


 He enjoined children to remain focused and avoid distractions in their academic  pursuits, urging parents to be friendly  in the course of interacting with their  children, so as to ensure beneficial feedback.


Earlier, the Founder, Friends of Ronzls Foundation, Mrs. Ola Sulaimon, ccommended the PPP policy, disclosing that the objetive of the foundation was to educate and nurture learners for greater heights.


Speaking, the Education Secretary, Sagamu Local Government Education Authority, Apostle Amos Okubote, said the ICT Centre at the foundation had given the children the opportunity to have practical computer experience which made teaching and learning easy and built their confidence to perform excellently in various competitions.


He explained that the foundation had been supportive of the children with textbooks, school bags and sandals, urging other well-meaning personalities to emulate the gesture to further develop the education sector.


 In her goodwill message, the Director, Academic School Services, Basic Education Board, (SUBEB), Mrs. Kehinde Anifowose, appreciated the founder for the gesture, imploring parents to ensure children cultivate maintenance culture and make good use of the facilities.
