The Ogun State Internal Revenue Service (OGIRS), will commence enforcement   on its revenue heads to recover all outstanding tax liabilities and increase revenue generated into the government's coffer from Tuesday, November 7, 2023

This was contained in a release signed by the Executive Chairman of OGIRS, Mr. Olugbenga Olaleye in his office at the OGIRS Headquarters, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, noting that the exercise would take place simultaneously in the three Senatorial Districts of the State.

The release indicated that the exercise would focus on, but not be limited to, ensuring total compliance with payment of consumption taxes, withholding taxes, back duty liabilities, and road taxes, adding that the exercise would continue until all Tax liabilities due to the State government are recovered and paid into the government's coffer.

Olaleye in the release urged road users across the State to ensure that their road documents are up to date, while other tax defaulters should immediately remit all outstanding tax liabilities through the agency's website or visit any of the tax stations located across the State.
