Abdullahi Ganduje, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has expressed confidence regarding the party’s prospects at the Supreme Court following the recent Appeal Court ruling upholding the ousting of Abba Yusuf from the Kano state governorship seat.
Ganduje who appreciated the appellate court for ”its fair dispensation of justice” voiced his assurance in the face of a potential appeal to the Supreme Court by the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).
He confidently anticipated another favourable outcome should the case proceed to the apex court.
Addressing reporters in Abuja, Ganduje acknowledged the democratic process and the NNPP’s potential recourse to the Supreme Court, asserting the readiness of the APC to face them in that arena.
He affirmed the party’s determination, stating, “There is nothing wrong for them to go to the Supreme Court. We, too, are ready to meet them in the Supreme Court. And Inshallah, we will win in the Supreme Court as well.”
Ganduje’s remarks reflect the APC’s preparedness for further legal proceedings, demonstrating their unwavering confidence in the judicial process and their belief in securing a favourable outcome in the ongoing dispute over the Kano state governorship election.
