OUR PARTNERSHIPS SECURED, REMO PEOPLE ASSURES ABIODUN’S GOVERNMENT.



The people of Remo land has reassured the Prince Dapo Abiodun led-adminstration in the State for continued partnerships that would impact their livelihood, while commending  government prompt intervention to most of their requests harnessed from year 2023 town hall engagements.


Setting the tone at the town hall meeting on year 2024-2026 Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and year 2024 budget in the division, the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remo land, Oba (Dr) Babtunde Ajayi, who acknowledged governments prompt response to their request in the 2023 budget, called for more improvements in road rehabilitation and reconstruction, provision of alternative electricity supply, Support,  Mobilisation and provision of security equipment to address the insecurity threat in the area songs many others.


Adding his voice at the meeting, Ewusi of Makun, Oba Timothy Akinsanya, who expressed displeasure at the state of the High Court- Agbele road, which is an alternative route that links the Express road and Simawa, called for prompt intervention by the government and also requested for a Fire brigade Vehicle towards averting the incidence of disasters in the area.


The Iyaloja-General of Sagamu Local government, Chief (Mrs). Olashonde Oduwaiye called on the government to address the issue of lack of electricity bedevilling markets in the zone, she however applauded the Governor for the financial empowerment interventions like the "Okoowo Dapo" scheme and many other to the women traders.


Speaking also, representative of Joint National Association of Person's Living With Disabilities, Comrade Seyi Adesiyan called for the creation of the Ministry of Disabled Persons, rehabilitation of the their State's headquarters among others.


Presenting the 2024-2026 MTEF and 2024 Annual budget, the host Commissioner, Mr. Olaolu Olabimtan reiterated the commitment of the government towards achieving good governance, with a view of cultivating people's  feedback and quality participation in the 2024 fiscal year.


   The Commissioner revealed that a 95. percent success which arose from the 203 citizens input harnessed in 2023 town hall meetings in the four divisions found its way in the 2023 budget, while a total of 125 projects which cut across the ISEYA pillars had been completed in the Remo zone.


   "We are here to gather and cultivate your inputs, in terms of policies, programmes and  projects" he noted.
