The All Progressive Congress, APC in Abeokuta North Local Government, Ogun State has commenced the distribution of cash to members of the party as to assist them in their various businesses.

The Chairperson of All Progressives Congress, APC in Abeokuta North Local Government, Alhaja Faidat Sarunmi Akintunde  along other executive members on Thursday  visited ward 4 and 5 in the local government to openly present them the cash.

Akintunde while addressing the members of the party submitted that the donation of the cash is to appreciate the party members for their great support for the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun and the party, APC.

According to her, the money was raised from the furniture allowances received by the councilors and other political appointees in the local government.

She said the party has decided to gather  the money and give out to members of the party in order to pay them back for their loyalty and support for the party.

 Akintunde added that the party will touch all wards in the local government, adding that every member of the party will benefit from the cash empowerment.

The party chairperson said " We are here today to appreciate you for your loyalty and support for our amiable Governor, Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun and our party, APC, you mean a lot to us and the only way we can appreciate you is to empower you with cash so that you make good use of it,  this cash is for  members present today,  we have given the ward excos and the ward chairmen their own cash, none of them is going to share this cash with you.

"We raised this money from the furniture allowances received  by our  councilors and some political appointees in the local government, we gathered the money from them and we are going to touch all wards in Abeokuta North, every member of the party will benefit from the cash empowerment, nobody will be left all" she concluded

Akintunde commended the council chairman, Hon. Ayorinde, the APC Organizing  Secretary, Hon. Yemi Adelani, IGWE, Alhaji Bakai Okedara for their financial support for the party in Abeokuta North Local Government.

Other dignitaries present were the the Vice chairman of the party, the Secretary , the ward chairmen, the councilors amongst others
