The Executive Chairman, Obafemi Owode Local Government, Amb. Ogunsola Adesina Lanre has flaged off the distribution of food palliatives which held at the Council Secretariat, Owode Egba.
He disclosed that the initiatives was born out of love and passion of the Federal Government ably Led by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR to cushion the effect of Fuel Subsidy removal through the State Government led by His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun CON, Governor, Ogun State to distribute equally without fear or favour of any section, political party affiliation with the conscience efforts of the Committee set up by the state and local governments which cut across Community Development Associations, Religious body, Traditional Institution, Youths, Market Men and women including the people living with disability to fine-tune the modality to actualize successful distribution devoid of partiality.
He further stressed that the program is centered on equal delivery of the items to all the residents of Obafemi Owode without any political party interest in the distribution of the palliatives.
"Let me say here that today is just a flag off and the distribution continues with the goal of reaching everyone in their respective Towns, Villages and Communities.
"We have grouped the distribution to the three known areas of the Council, Oba, Owode and Obafe with their representatives and each of them shall be guided and apportioned fair share", said Council Boss.
Thanking the government out of the numerous beneficiaries of the food items distributed,
Alhaji Jimoh Ayeloja thanked Amb. Ogunsola led administration extensively for accommodating first the physically challenged people, from the numerous qualified indigents.
Also joined in presenting the food palliatives includes, commissioner 2, Ogun State Civil Service Commission, Hon. Nike Osoba, Governor Liason Officer OOLG Hon. Mustapha Fatai (Eruobodo),HRH Oba Taofeek Kayode Owolabi, Olu Obafe, HRH. Oba Ganiu Adegun Sanyaolu, Olu Oba Eerin and other Traditional Rulers among others.
