In its unwavering commitment to fortify the road network in Ogun State, the Public Works Agency has embarked on the rehabilitation of roads across the State. One of such is the Olokuta-Abeokuta train station road, which has suffered erosion, as a result of incessant downpour
A statement by the Agency outlined that the Olokuta-Abeokuta train station road being rehabilitated was initiated by the state government, which entails the careful process of filling the bad sections of the road with high-quality hardcore material, effectively restoring the road's usability to optimal levels.
The statement further indicated that the palliative measure will go beyond immediate mobility improvements, as it plays a crucial role in preparing the road for comprehensive reconstruction while ensuring uninterrupted access for residents during the construction phase. It stated that the approach would also facilitate the easy deployment of heavy equipment to the construction site.
The unwavering commitment of the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, to addressing the infrastructural needs of residents across the State indicated the recent example of asphalting patching carried out on the Mobalufon-Imowo road in Ogun East Senatorial area.
It also stated the ongoing repair work on Ansarudeen-Ojuore Road, in Ogun West, which involves thoroughly removing the bad portions of the road and resurfacing them with a fresh layer of asphalt, with the primary aim of enhancing the road's smooth movement for motorists and commuters.
