Ogun State House of Assembly has passed a resolution granting approval to the State Government to appoint Ogun State Operations Management Services ( OSMOS) being a reputable company to collect fees or levies on its behalf from the transport unions to imrove on the internally generated revenue ( IGR)  of the State from road taxes.

The passage of the resolution followed the adoption of a report of the House Committee on Transportation presented by the Chairman, Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, who equally moved for its adoption, seconded by Hon. Wahab Haruna and supported by the Whole House.

The Majority Leader Yusuf Sheriff, thereafter moved for the adoption of the report as amended into House resolution, after contributions from all members present, seconded by the Minority Leader Lukman Adeleye and supported by the Whole House through a unanimous voice vote.

The members took turn to acknowledge that giving the vehicle transportation the third leg, would help improve the State revenue and promote equity in the sector.
