A chairmanship aspirant under the platform of All Progressive Congress, APC in Odeda local government, Hon. Adeniji Kenny has congratulated the lawmaker, representing Odeda State Constituency, Hon. Elemide on his victory at the tribunal.
Hon. Adeniji said the verdict has justified that people really voted for the lawmaker.
The Ogun State House of Assembly Election Tribunal upheld the re-election of Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, and dismissed the petitions of the House of Assembly Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Kehinde Odewunmi, who challenged the return of Daisi Elemide of All Progressive Congress, APC.
The three-man panel in its unanimous judgment dismissed the petition for lack of merit.
On the petition filed by the PDP and its candidate, the tribunal described it as vague, nebulous, lacking in particularity, baseless and an academic exercise.
The Tribunal however struck out the petition due to the failure of petitioners to provide proofs to drive home their legal challenge.
The chairmanship aspirant hailed the judiciary for prevailing over intimidation and all manner of prejudice to deliver justice according to law.
He added that the wishes of the residents of Odeda have been respected by the ruling.
"On behalf of my family, the government and people of Delta, I congratulate our amiable lawmaker, Hon. Elemide on this victory.
"This victory is for all in Odeda , and I urge the PDP to sheathe its sword and work for the interest of the people of the state.
