The Chairman, Ijebu-Ode Local Government, Alhaji  Babatunde Emilola Gazal, has showcased the people's oriented projects executed by his administration in the last two years in office.

This was done during a  media tour to all the projects excuted across the council area, which includes, complete rehabilitation of NTA Road, Complete Rehabilitation of Abattoir (Odo Eran) in Yemule, Rehabilitation of a block of 6 classrooms and 2 offices at Christ Church primary school, Porogun, Equipping of  Primary Health Centre at Sabo, Molode, which was built by his predecessor and Completion and equipping of Primary Health Centre, Iyanro,  Construction of a block of 3 Classrooms at Moslem primary school 1, rehabilitation and furnishing of the Legislative Council Chamber and offices of the legislators, and Electrification of Oke-Aje Market, Completed with a transformer from the State government. He also showed the model of a proposed market complex at the Old Epe garage, which comprises of 270 lock-up shops and stalls, construction of which would start soon. 

Speaking with newsmen, Gazal said his administration has embarked on the projects since his assumption in office as the Executive Chairman of Ijebu-Ode Local Government.

He said, "I am a man of the people and have never left the town because their is no reason to leave the town.

People want clarification on a number of things and we felt that we will do that when the need arises and that is why we have done this media tour, so as to see what we have done in the last two years, with the limited resources available to us.

I am assuring that we will continue to do our best for the people of Ijebu-Ode and also continue to give them the needed support.

Let me reinterate here today that we will continue to deliver on the  'ISEYA' mantra of the state government administration, led by Prince Dapo Abiodun, and to the best of our ability," Gazal said

The Chairman said, "I am assuring that what you have seen today is what we have been able to do, contrary to what people are saying. We don't just make noise, we believe that our works will speak for us. I vow here today that the local government resources will continue to be used for the people of the council.

Also speaking, the Iyaloja of Oke-Aje Market, Mrs. Wuraola Ikuforiji said the Gazal-led administration in Ijebu-Ode Local Government has performed  creditably well, saying they were grateful for the electrification of the market along with installation of new transformer to the Market.

Some other  Projects include, Scholarship for 10 students, Purchase of 2 utility vehicle for Local Government, Complete facelift of Vice-Chairman's  office and Rehabilitation of the following roads; Omo Owo - Bonojo road, Abeokuta road, Alapo street, Oke suna street, Balogun Kuku Street, GRA road, Epe garage road, Ijebu-Ode Club road and Clearing of the road sides at Isiwo.
