Residents of Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State have applauded the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for commissioning the 7km Imasayi - Iboro - Igan-Okoto road, and for flagging off the remaining 14km stretch to Ayetoro, saying that the development would greatly boost socio-economic development of the area.
Laying credence to the peoples’ applause ,the duo of Baale Eleyo, Imasai, Chief kilani Orisatolu and Baale Abule-Oke, Imasai, Chief Ramoni Akinsanya appreciated Governor Abiodun for opening up the area which they believe would ensure greater economic growth, particularly enabling farmers to convey their produces from adjoining towns to urban centres with ease, as well as aid movement of commuters from Ayetoro to Ilaro, Owode-Idiroko and also improve trade activities within neighbouring States, seeking for prompt rehabilitation of the remaining 14km of road to Ayetoro.
In his goodwill message, Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle, said that the people of the district were glad and appreciated the Governor for his developmental programmes in the area, particularly for opening up Yewaland to new annal of economic development that would further improve the wellbeing of people.
Also, the trio of the Olu of Imasai, Oba Lukmon Kuoye, the Aboro of Iboro-Yewa, Oba Daniel Salako and the Iyaloja General, Ogun State, Alhaja Yemisi Abass thanked the Governor for the intervention, saying the road had been very bad for a long time due to the neglect by past Administrations, appreciating the rescue effort of the Governor in the area.
