In a bid to revitalize and reposition the State-owned media stations to their places of pride, the Ogun State Head of Service, Mr. Kolawole Fagbohun has enjoined the Management Team of both the Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation (OGBC) and the Ogun State Television (OGTV) to think out of the box in creating fresh, exciting and people focused contents to truly prove that their stations are the mother stations for broadcasting industry in the nation.
The Head of Service who met the Management Teams of the two stations led by their General Managers, Mrs. Toyin Sogbesan (OGBC) and Mr. Tunde Kassim (OGTV) at the Conference Room of his office said it is time they came up with new innovations that would increase their audiences' listenership and viewership respectively.
"I invited you to come and do what we call the balance sheet of how you run your outfits and look at the way we can do it better by bringing in new innovations that can excite and appeal to our audience ", the HoS said.
Mr. Fagbohun opined that they can come up with fresh ideas that could make the stations more attractive and competitive with people oriented programmes.
Reacting on behalf of the Management Teams, the duo of Mr. Gbenga Omotunde of OGBC and Mr. Abiodun Alabi of OGTV promised to look inwards and improve on their contents, programming and repackage them to make them more attractive to their audience, adding that rich broadcast contents require great investments.
Earlier in a welcome address, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Strategy, Mr. Waheed Adesina said the meeting was called for the leaders of the two stations to brainstorm on how best to enhance their media contents for better service delivery.
