Report reaching us says that police has released the 14 suspected landgrabbers after colllecting the sum of 4million naira from them.

A reliable source told our correspondent said the suspects gave the sum of 4million naira to the police in charge of the case.

The residents of Ibafo and Mowe were not happy about the news as they said  they were disappointed in the Police in Ogun State.

Recall that the Ibafo Police Division  arrested 14 members of  landgrabbing syndicate who were planning to invade Ibafo and Mowe in Obafemi Owode Local Government, Ogun State.

Their arrest followed a distress call received by the police that some suspected langrabbers were planning to attack land owners and take possesion of thier lands with force.

Upon the distress call, Ibafo Police Division mobilised  their men to the hotel where the suspects lodged and arrested them.

The suspects arrested were Teriba from  ikorodu, Dada doyin, emesi Berger , Jamiu Makinde and others.

Report has it that the suspects were arrested with various charms, cutlasses pistols and other dangerous weapons.
