Ogun State First Lady, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun Has Called on Wives Of Chairmen Of The 20 Local Government Areas to collaborate with her Office to accomplish The 'Renewed Hope Initiative' Family Intervention Programme of The First Lady Of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.
Mrs. Abiodun made the call At a Sensitization Meeting On The 'Renewed Hope Initiative' With The Wives Of The Chairmen And Women Leaders In The Three Senatorial Districts Of The State, Held At The Oba's Complex, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.
According To her, The Nation's First Lady's Initiative Was Targeted At Empowering Families And Support The Less Privileged Throughout The 36 States Of The Federation Through Various Intervention Programs.
She Said the Preliminary Meeting with The Chairpersons Was Important As They Were Key To The Implementation Of The Projects To Be Unveiled.
She disclosed that the State Had the Opportunity To Pick Three Pertinent Thematic Areas From The Five Outlined By Senator Tinubu To Be Implemented By The Initiative Through The Office Of The Wife Of The Governor.
Mrs. Abiodun Listed the Five Areas to Include Agriculture, Education, Health, Social Investments and Economic Empowerment.
The Meeting agreed to go back to their Various Local Government Areas to deliberate On The Thematic Areas Peculiar To Each In Collaboration With The Women Leaders And The Market Women At The Grassroots.
Contributing, The Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako Oyedele Observed That All The Five Areas Were Important And Interwoven Calling On The Women To Critically Decide On The Most Pressing Ones That Would Be Adopted By All The Local Government Areas For The Benefit Of The State.
