President Bola Tinubu met with members of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) at the State House on Thursday.
The purpose of the meeting has not yet been made public, but it is likely to be about the political situation in Niger, where President Mohamed Bazoum was recently removed from office in a coup d’état.
The NSCIA is the highest Islamic body in Nigeria, and its members play an important role in mediating between the government and the Muslim community.
