A member of Ogun State House of Assembly, representing Abeokuta South State Constituency 11, Hon. Igbalaye Wasiu Ayodele on Tuesday delivered his inaugural speech at the state house of assembly.

In his inaugural speech, Iwa said that he is committed towards addressing the needs of his people with a view to ensuring improved standard of living.

 He also called for the  reconstruction of some notable roads within  his constituency.

He said "All glory and honour to Allah for this day as I stand to deliver to you all in this Hallowed Chamber my inaugural words.

"The election has come and gone, and once again a big thank you to God on behalf of my amiable and Executive Governor of Ogun State.  His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR, CON for his effort and support as we journey along in the post-election and governance of our dear state.

"With all due respect and deep sense of responsibility I wish to appreciate all the Elders, Leaders and members of Abeokuta South State Constituency II and that of our great party, All  Progressive Congress –APC for a job well done and their unflinching support during the electioneering that later transformed into our success story today, may almighty Allah in his infinity mercies continue to abide with you all, Amen.

"It is with great sense of humility and decorum that I pledge to commit every of my person in ensuring the infrastructural development and human capital development of my constituency Abeokuta South State Constituency II and Ogun State as a whole. 

"Consequently,Mr Speaker, Honourable Colleagues, I wish to express that I will work tirelessly in the area of achieving a set of goals and objectives that will be impactful to the Youth, Womenfolk and the Elderly of my dear constituency. 

"I had the mandate of my people in order to properly represent them as I know their yearnings, while am also fully aware that the following sectors of governance would be practically and strategically looked into.

EDUCATION: This is my primary constituency, as a member of the academia is my wish to be able to pursue a blueprint that will aid free education from the primary school level to the secondary school level in our state may God help us.

HUMAN CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT: This will specifically take care  of the teaming youth both male and female whereby they can partake in various learning processes of skill acquisition through certain Vocational studies, Artisanship etc hereby helping them to acquire knowledge and  become independent and chief executives in their  various areas of specialization.

HEALTH CARE DELIVERY: Health is Wealth as the same goes, there is practical need for the construction of new hospitals, overhauling and upgrading of most of the primary health care centers into modernized medical centers in order to accommodate the various needs of my people.   

JUDICIARY SYSTEM REFORMS: After thorough visibility studies it was gathered that most of our Correctional Facilities are already congested hence,there is need for government to look towards this direction in order to proffer solutions into the lingering crises of awaiting trials, such that there will be more Judges and Magistrates to discharge there duties accordingly while the work load will be decentralized.

FOOD SECURITY: The need for intensive mechanized agriculture cannot be over emphasized at this time we need to dwell more into production of arable food and cash crops to boost food sustainability in our state where by reducing the cost of putting a three – square meal on the table of my constituents and in Ogun State general 

ROAD NETWORK: It is quite imperative to note that some of the road within my constituency needs critical attention, don’t forget that the state capital is strategically located within my constituency as a result there will be “operation no pot holes” on the road within the city in general.

Furthermore, as we sojourn along My Honourable Speaker, Distinguished Members, I will further reinforce with my knowledge a focus on the above mentioned with your collaboration, team work, spirit of love and affection in order to achieve greater heights at the 10th Assembly of Ogun State our dear State.

In particular, I wish to make myself responsible of all times to represent and available to develop strategic blueprints in order to facilitate innovations and advanced policies that would be beneficiary to my constituents and the good people of Ogun State.

"To this end as we journey along, I would like to share ideas with you all in order to bring forth the dividends of democracy to our people while our policies will be value-chain driven such that all and sundry will be positively affected. 

"I wish to state that I will be of assistance to the Judicial Arm of Government whenever the needs arises and will also be in full compliance with the Executive Arm of Government.

Mr Speaker, Distinguished Colleagues, as we settle forward into a great dispensation of governance, u I will ensure and avail myself with certain bills that will be of great impact to our dear State which are as follows to mention a few:

"Youth and Women Empowerment Bill

While these are ongoing, I will also be available for collaboration with the private sector, conglomerates, multinationals, local and international bodies to facilitate real infrastructural development through already established connections.

"I am equally saying thank you to the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR CON, and commend his effort on the laudable project that he had embarked upon in Ogun State in General and most especially that of the construction of Panseke/Adigbe Road which was indeed a success in the areas of developmental road network of our state and my constituency

"I wish to express my profound gratitude to His Excellency, for his support during the Inauguration of the 10th Assembly, this was indeed huge success.

Finally, I wish to reiterate that we have a job to do at our hands and our constituents are practically looking forward to us as they expect a physical proof of evidences of the dividends of democracy as we go about our activities or oversight functions, making laws for the peace and order of our State and impactful representation to mention a few.
