A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Femi Fani-Kayode, has finally commented on the ministerial nominees’ list submitted to the Nigerian Senate by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Recall that the president had transmitted the first batch list last Thursday to the upper chamber of the National Assembly for screening.
The final list containing 19 names was read on the floor of the Senate on Wednesday, August 2, by the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.
Members of opposition parties had trolled the former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Fani-Kayode, over his failure to make the list.
The former aviation minister, who kept mum on the first list, congratulated the nominees, wishing them the best in their service to the nation.
In a tweet on Thursday morning, the former Minister declared that nominees are all excellent choices made by the president.
He wrote, “Congratulations to all those in both the first and second Ministerial lists of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (@officialABAT).
“They are all excellent choices, and I wish them the very best in their service to our great nation.
“I was a minister 16 years ago, and I know how tasking and challenging it can be.
“We must remember them in our prayers and ask God to guide them in all their endeavours as they make difficult choices for our nation and assist Mr President. God will use them to take our great nation to a higher level”.
