AYETORO COUNCIL OF CHIEFS THANKS TINUBU FOR BREAKING 24 YEARS JINX NOMINATION OF INDIGENE

The Ayetoro Council of Chiefs in Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State has described the appointment of one of the indigenes of the town, Dr. Isiaq Salako as Minister-designate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as a well-deserved honour that has broken the jinx of having a Yewa kinsman since the democratic government in 1999.

In their separate reactions to the appointment of Dr. Salako as a Minister nominee by President Bola Tinubu, the Aremo of Ayetoro and the immediate past Speaker of Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Suraj Adekunbi, stated that the appointment would serve as a great liberation based on the fact that, Federal appointment had eluded the region for close to 24 years since the return of democracy in Nigeria

Adekunbi commended President Tinubu for the choice of the ministerial nominee and also appreciated Governor Dapo Abiodun for supporting their kinsman, saying Dr.  Salako would perform creditably as he did while serving as Commissioner in three different critical Ministries of Housing, Health and Agriculture between 2007 and 2011 under the administration of Governor Gbenga Daniel and the present administration as Chairman Hospitals Management Board during first term of Governor Dapo Abiodun.

Also speaking, the Baale of Ifekowajo, Ayetoro, Chief  Yunus Kewuyemi and his counterpart from Ilupeju,Ayetoro, Chief John Faleti poured encomium on the President for the prestigious appointment.

Speaking in the same vein, the trio of Jagunmolu of Ayetoro, Chief Muritala Adedeji, Okanlomo of Ayetoro, Hon.(Chief) Rasaq Adeagbo, and Baale of Ilogun,Ayetoro, Chief Folorunsho Oguntade also appreciated the  President for appointing a Yewa man from Ogun West  and also praised the Nigeria 10th Senate for confirming Dr. Salako and other 44 Ministerial nominees presented to the  Senate by President Tinubu, requesting that more of Federal and State appointments be given to Ogun West Senatorial District.
