The Chief Judge of Ogun State, Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu has said the establishment of prison courts around each correctional centres across the State was aimed at easing the dispensation of justice, curbing transportation challenges and fast-track court cases.
Justice Dipeolu made this known during the release of seven inmates from Oba, Ibara and Ilaro correctional centres, held at the conference hall of the State Judiciary Complex, Abeokuta.
The Chief Judge pointed out that proximity of the courts would further aid the effectiveness of the justice delivery system, as well as decongest various Correctional Centres.
She said lots of factors were responsible for the increased crime rate in the economy, among which is unemployment, urging the government to provide more employment opportunities with social services for youths.
