The pilot phase of Ogun Gas-Powered Mass Transit known as the e-Mobility Project will be ready for a test run next week.
This was made known by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, during an interview with newsmen after inspecting the assembly plant at Asero, Abeokuta.
Talabi said, ‘’I have come to assess the pace of development as His Excellency, Governor Dapo Abiodun is genuinely committed to the prompt delivery of this modern project, as part of plans by his administration to mitigate the effect of the fuel price hike on the people.
The SSG said the State’s mass transit buses would start running on Liquified Natural Gas in the coming days, in line with the promise by the Governor.
Talabi noted that "the process of skill transfer between our partners and the local technicians is also going on smoothly, as you can see many of them are already working. I want to assure you that this will provide more jobs for our youths beyond this partnership".
