OGSG PROMISES MORE TREMENDOUS INTERVENTIONS IN SCHOOLS

 



          Special Adviser to the Ogun State Governor on Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, has reiterated the commitment of the present administration to further embark on tremendous infrastructural interventions in schools.


          Prof. Arigbabu made this known while monitoring the year 2023 National Examination Council (NECO) examination and school assessment tour in Egba axis, said infrastructure like furniture, laboratory utensils, new classrooms, toilet facilities and many amenities that would make teaching and learning conducive would be provided accordingly.


          He called on the parents and guardians to implore their children to face their studies and shun social vices such as truancy, hooliganism, cultism, and absenteeism that may breach the peace of the academic environment, adding that the lives of teachers are so important to the government and any attack on them would be dealt with accordingly.


          The Special Adviser commended NECO for adequate and timely supplies of the examination materials and for putting proper arrangements in place towards ensuring the success of the examination, saying it was an indication of how organised the State used to be when it comes to anything that could add value to the citizens.


          Speaking, the Principal of Baptist Girls College, Senior, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, Mrs. Elenwo Iwedi and the Vice Principal, Salawu Abiola Comprehensive High School, Osiele, Mohammed Olagesin stated that the appointment of Prof. Arigbabu as Special Adviser to the Governor on Education was highly commendable because he understands how education sector should be managed for maximum outputs.


          Schools visited were Taidob College, Asero, Abeokuta, Nawar-ur-deen Grammar School, Obantoko, Abeokuta, Salawu Abiola Comprehensive High School, Osiele, Baptist Girls College, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta and Owu African Church Central School, Ita-Iyalode, Abeokuta.
