The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has announced the new principal officers for the 10th House of Representatives.
Julius Ihonvbere, an All Progressive Congress (APC) member from Edo State, has assumed the position of House Majority Leader.
Halims Abdullahi, a representative of Kogi State and a member of the APC, has been designated as the Deputy Majority Leader. Bello Kumo, an APC member representing Gombe State, has taken on the role of Chief Whip. Additionally, Adewunmi Onanuga, representing Ogun State and of the APC party, has been appointed as the Deputy Chief Whip.
The newly appointed officers were unveiled during the proceedings chaired by Speaker Abbas.
During the session, Speaker Abbas also disclosed the contents of a letter from the Minority Caucus, outlining the names of their principal officers.
As per the letter, Kingsley Chinda, a member of the PDP, has been announced as the Minority Leader. Aliya Madaki, a member of the NNPP party, has assumed the position of Deputy Minority Leader. Ali Isah, another PDP member, has been appointed as the Minority Whip. Lastly, George Ebizimawo of the Labour Party has been designated the Deputy Minority Whip.

Recall that Senate President Godswill Akpabio recently revealed the principal officers for the 10th Senate.
Leading the Senate is Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, representing Ekiti State and assuming the role of Senate Leader. Senator Dave Umahi, a representative from Ebonyi State, has been chosen as the Deputy Senate Leader. Senator Ali Ndume, from Borno State, has been appointed as the Chief Whip, and Senator Lola Ashiru, representing Kwara State, has taken on the responsibility of Deputy Chief Whip.
Moreover, Senate President Akpabio also announced the names of the minority principal officers. Senator Simon Davou, representing Plateau North and of the PDP, has been designated as the Minority Leader. Oyewunmi Olarere, a member of the PDP representing Osun West, has been appointed as the Deputy Minority Leader. Darlington Nwokeocha, representing Abia Central and a Labour Party member, has taken on the role of Minority Whip. Finally, Rufai Hanga, a representative of Kano Central and a member of the NNPP, has been appointed as the Deputy Minority Whip.
