Ogun State House of Assembly Member Representing Ijebu Ode Local Government, Hon. Bakare Omolola Olanrewaju Popularly called BOO has Assured her Constituents of a Redefine Representation.
The Lawmaker made this known in an Exclusive interview with our Correspondent in Ijebu ode Recently.
In this interview Hon. Bakare Explains what she had in mind for her Constituents.

Question: Can we Meet You Ma.?
Hon. BOO : My Name is Honorable Bakare Omolola Olanrewaju Popularly called BOO.
Question: Can You tell us Briefly who Honourable Bakare Omolola Olanrewaju is?
Hon.BOO: I am from Ijebu ode and attended CMS Primary School, Ogere-Remo, I later proceeded to Ositelu Memorial College Secondary School, also in Ogere-Remo.
Afterward I studied Broadcast Journalism at the Nigeria Institute of Journalism, Ogba, Lagos, and I also proceeded to The Polytechnic, Ibadan, where I obtained Higher National Diploma in Marketing.
I took another bold step to further study Economics at the Lagos State University.
I also bag Degree in Housing and Social work from South Bank University, London, United Kingdom.
I am a politician, wife and mother.
Presently am the Honourable Member Representing Ijebu Ode Local Government Constituency.
Questions: As an Honourable Member Representing Ijebu Ode Local Government Constituency, How do you intend to Make sure that your Representation in the OGHA is of the benefit to your Constituents and Ogun State at Large?
Hon.BOO : I want to do that by sponsoring bills that will be Effective. Let me tell you, I have a lot of Bills in mind to sponsor. Let me hint your Newsplatform some of the bills I have in mind.
My first will be on sickle Cell bill, That is, it will be mandatory you go for Genotype test before you get married rather than bringing sickle patient to the world. Once you know your genotype before getting married to each other, it will prevent having sickle cell patients.
And also I have in mind domestic violence Bill. I want to say, it is not only woman that suffers Domestic Violence, Man too can be a victim.
You know this domestic violence cause depression.
Also I have in mind, child marriage bill, I want to protect the girl child from 0-18years from child marriage unless she is above 18 years of Age.
And many more bills that will be Effective and also to give my constituents a redefine representation that will improve their Living standard.
Questions : As the first female Lawmaker of the House of Assembly representing Ijebu Ode Local Government Constituency, what do you intend to do differently.?
Hon. BOO: what am going to do different, is to be doing Quarterly meetings with my Constituents, I will decide, it may be 3 - 4 times in a year.
We will call all stakeholders involved, I mean the Olorituns, baales, CDA's , Leader of the Markets.
You see, I need to carry my people along, I want to know what they actually need.
Even the roads, we will prioritise it, though we can't do all the roads in Ijebu ode Local Government, but they will give us the one's that need urgent Attention.
I want to represent everybody, so that it will not be, they did something we are not aware of.
And don't forget as I said earlier, I will carry everybody along because am representing everyone in Ijebu ode Local Government.
I will also prioritise women, I need to carry them along, don't forget am the first female Lawmaker to represent them.
Let me hint you, I have a foundation named Lola bakare Helping Hand foundation that caters for the widows but it will be extended beyond catering for the widows alone.
Question : You are Representing a premier Local Government that has once produce a Governor of the State, what are the things you have in pipelines for the Youths in your Constituents?
Hon BOO: Empowerment will be part of my program for the Youths, so as to reduce the rate of Unemployment in our society. Also on this, my intention is to bring along individuals that can help because Government alone can not do it, we need individuals to come and invest, so as to create Employment for our teeming youths.
Question : Inclusiveness in Politics is Paramount, How do you intend to carry every stakeholders along?
Hon. BOO : I believe a town hall meeting with all relevant stakeholders is Paramount as I have said earlier. We will let them know where we are going. We will Carry them along in everything we are doing.
Question: As a Lawmaker that belongs to the Legislative arm of Government, How do you intend to compliment the Efforts of the Executive Arm of the Government?
Hon. BOO: As a Lawmaker, we will work with the Executive. We will do it together because their is a Yoruba saying, "Igi kan O le da igbo se". Though we are just starting a new Government but their will be a cordial relationship with the Executive.
Question: How do you intend to use PPP to bring more investors to Ijebu ode Local Government.?
Hon. BOO: I believe talking to the right individuals who have the mindset to come back home and invest is Key, Though land would be a major factor but let see how it will go because I don't want to dwell much on that. I know I can convince the right people to come and invest back home.
Question : Sons and Daughters of Ijebuland both Home and Abroad. Your Advice for them.?
And: My Advice is come back and invest at home. I have been in abroad for over 15years, now am back home. There is a saying in Yoruba language that says " Ile ni abo isimi oko" . Please come home to develop your state.
