In a bid to ensure clear performance targets which would measure up to customers' satisfaction in the health facility environment, the Ogun State Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR), has advocated for best global practice, and compliance with the Bureau’s reform initiatives.

The Permanent Secretary in the Bureau, Mr. Jola Oyeneye, made the call during a monitoring and evaluation visit to the State Hospital, Ijaye, Olikoye Ransome Kuti Memorial Hospital, Asero and Oba Ademola Memorial Hospital in Abeokuta.

Mr. Oyeneye, in company of the Director, Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), in the Ministry of Budget and Planning, Mr. David Onigbinde, said the mission of the Bureau was to ensure that Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of government perform effectively and efficiently for sustained improvement in service delivery to the citizens, through technically competent and motivated staff in collaboration with all stakeholders using modern technology.

He stated that for the best global practice to be attained, the areas of challenges have to be identified and necessary recommendations be made to effect the needed positive changes.

He commended their abilities to meet the needs of the numerous patients despite the shortage of staff due to the 'japa' syndrome, which mostly affected the health sector of the country.
