Executive Chairman, Obafemi Owode Local Government, Ogun State Ambassador Ogunsola Adesina Lanre has paid an unscheduled visit to victims of recent banditry attack in Abule ori, Obafemi owode local government, Ogun State.
It was reported that the alleged bandits stormed the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Omu penpe, and Cherubim & Seraphim Church, around 3:00am when the program was on interchangeably and attacked the worshippers where one of them was shot dead.
The Council Boss visited the communities early hours on Monday in company of the Honourable Member Representing, Obafemi Owode State Constituency, Hon. Soneye Kayode alongside the Security Operatives, including, DPO Popoola, Owode Division.
He sympathized with the worshipers of the Redeemed Christian Church of God for the loss of Assistant Pastor, Kayode Oluwafemi who was shot dead by the gang of bandits during the cross over vigil service at the Desire of Nations, Province
He urged the residents to be on the lookout for the unwarranted movement of unscrupulous elements in the area.
Ogunsola also advised them to report any form of movement of the cattle breeders destroying their farms to the police and other law enforcement agencies closer to them.
He further visited Medicplus Hospital, where other victims of the attacks are receiving treatment.
Ogunsola paid all the bills including cash donations to some other patients in the ward.
The eyewitnes who spoke with our correspondent, Oladehinde Bukola of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, disclosed that some of their church members were taken hostage by the bandits including a very young baby, who she was carrying at the time of the incident.
She said with the intervention of Nigeria Police Force in the area, Vigilante Group, So safe corps and Amotekun Operatives, all the captives were rescued.
Other eyewitneses include, Ojelabi Damola, Ursher, RCCG who was also attacked with machete at his back and Paulina Obadimu of C&S Church respectively.
Amongst the entourage includes, Hon. Olusesi Titus Babatunde, Vice Chairman, Chief Kayode Dipeolu, SLG, Supervisors to mention but few.
