Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has completed the airlifting of its Pilgrims from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, signalling the completion of 2023 Hajj exercise.
The Last batch arrived Muritala Muhammad International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos aboard Flynas flight XY6670 at exactly 11:30 pm Nigerian time, on Thursday .
The Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Salau Dauda while confirming the arrival expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the success of the exercise,saying all the Pilgrims returned safely.
Salau attributed the success recorded to the relentless efforts of the Prince Dapo Abiodun administration regarding logistics and financial support.
The total of 1,239 Pilgrims comprising 651 Males and 588 Females had safely returned to Nigeria.
Speaking on behalf of other pilgrims, Alhaja Alimot Azeez thanked the State Government for its welfare package to the pilgrims throughout their stay in Saudi Arabia, acknowledging that the Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Boards performed excellently in the services rendered to the pilgrims in Saudi Arabia.
