The Muslims faithful among other indigenes of Remoland have been charged to promote socio-economic wellbeing of others  and cohabit peacefully  without acrimony or rancor so as to be epitome of Islam in the state and Nigeria in general.

The  Grand Chief Imam of Remo Kingdom, Alhaji Abdul Quadri Jinadu who gave the charge during an interview with newsmen in Sagamu on the eve of Elder - El - Kabil, said the season of Ileya was a special period when  Almighty Allah usually show mercy and  forgive  sins and answer prayers of his people, calling on  Muslims world wide to replicate same within their communities.

According to him "people should show mercy and  forgive those who have  offended them as stipulated in the Holy Quran, they should also desist from holding grudges against anyone, or be in a hurry to do anything rash that can bodily injury to body. Moreso,  they should  distant themselves from foul words that can destroy the peaceful co-existence among the people".

The Chief Imam further  said that the season could also be  called period of  support  Peace, tranquility,, goodness and forgiveness which project a man towards attaining paradise. He noted that the  period  was meant for Muslims to celebrate their faith in Allah and  be self restraint as well as commited to one of the five pilars of Islam by embarking on holy pilgrimage (hajj) to Holy land of  Mecca and Medina as ordained by Almighty Allah.

He prayed that Almighty Allah would guide and protect all Muslim brothers and sisters who are presently on pilgrimage exercise in year 2023 to Mecca,  wishing them journey mercy back home.

He appreciated the efforts of the present administration of Prince Dapo Abiodun for its determination at checkmating violence and curbing unwarranted  killings among other criminalities in Remo land and the state at large.

He prayed that the season would bring forth blessing, progress as well as eternal joy for the people in the state and Nigeria in general.
