Civil Society Groups, Party faithful and other various political groups among others have thronged the Office of the newly re-appointed Secretary to Ogun State Government, Mr Tokunbo Talabi to congratulate him on the appointment for a second term in office.
Speaking on behalf of the Dapo Abiodun Continuity Agenda (DACA), a member-elect of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Segun Kaka, who led the group to the SSG's office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, noted that the group had come to identify and rejoice with the SSG "having secured a well-deserved reappointment, saying the Governor though a very circumspect individual in making appointments has put another round peg in a round hole.
While appreciating the Governor for re-appointing Mr Talabi the second time, Kaka said we are here in solidarity with our father, brother and leader for his reappointment having made us proud in the first tenure and we are confident that the governor's gesture was an indication of better things to come to the state.
In the same vein, a strong delegation comprising party members and citizens of Ijebu North Local Government led by the Executive Chairman, Hon. Bolaji Odusanya have also paid a courtesy on the SSG, appreciating the Governor for the reappointment adding that it is an indication of more development and inclusiveness for the people of the area.
In another development, a delegation of Ogun State Coalition of Pro-Democracy and Civil Society Group, led by Comrade Bankole Solomon expressed their delight at the SSG's re-appointment, pledging their readiness to work with the government in implemented its people-oriented programmes.
Bankole said he has not been participating in government programmes in the past but expressed his willingness and readiness to do so having seen the sincerity of this administration as a complete departure from the anomalies of the past.
Responding, the SSG, Mr Tokunbo Talabi appreciated the group for their solidarity adding that I am more pleased by the willingness of our group to partner with government to enlighten the masses on its programmes and policies, saying it was a welcome development.
Talabi assured that the Prince Dapo Abiodun led government is more determined to be fair, just and inclusive while implementing more policies that will be people-oriented for the benefits of all.
"Our door is always open and we are willing to listen to you and air your views on some of our policies where you see that we're not doing things the way it ought to be and we will be glad to honour your meaningful contributions", Talabi posited
