Ogun State Government says the ongoing verification and staff audit across its Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) is aimed at improving the infrastructure and well-being of workers in all cadres.

          The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Dr. Rotimiolu Akinlesi dropped this hint, while addressing Staff of the Ministry at Obas’ Complex, Abeokuta, noting that the exercise was not meant to witch-hunt any worker in the State Civil Service.

          Dr. Akinlesi stated that the periodic verification exercise would assist the government to determine staff strength within the system at every point in time, urging the workers to provide necessary information concerning their career progression for proper documentation while the exercise lasted.

           He advised the Ministry staffers to always exhibit a high level of loyalty to their Directors and superiors to allow for proper and adequate mentorship within the Civil Service system and ensure tolerance among themselves, to aid efficient service delivery, assuring the staff of regular training across the board for improvement and effective distribution of knowledge among the workers.
